West Pomerania Economic Development Association is a non-governmental organization set up in 1995 in Szczecin. From the very beginning the aim of the association was to assist and stimulate the development of small and medium-seized enterprises in the region of West Pomerania. In order to achieve these goals, the association fulfils a wide range of tasks focusing on promotion and support addressed to entrepreneurs.
   

  The activities undertaken by ZSRG-SCP are as follows:

 

• organization and conduction of training courses, seminars, workshops and conferences comprising the subject of widely understood entrepreneurship,
• advisory services including financial, legal and economical assistance, as well as provision of information about accessible funds addressed to already existing SMEs and business start-ups,
• carrying out European projects, applying for various Governmental and EU grants aiming to support business,
• assisting newly established companies by allowing them to develop their activities in a friendly environment of business incubator,
• searching for partners in Europe to collaborate with Polish enterprises and vice versa

 

     Within the years of its operation the ZSRG - SCP has undergone many changes, from a small non -profit organization, it has grown to be a complex institution consisting of several bodies such as Business Incubator, Enterprise Europe Network, Loan Fund, Training Centre, Social Integration Centre and Entrepreneurs' Club for students and graduates. It plays an important and significant role in the region. The basic principles of the ZSRG - SCP have remained unchanged from the beginning and include openness to cooperation with variety of partners at local regional, national and international level.

     ZSRG - SCP co-ordinates the biggest Business Incubator in West Pomerania Voivodeship. It was established in 1991 as a budgetary unit of the City Hall in Szczecin. Nowadays, the association manages its premises by renting office space at low prices, providing different secretarial facilities as well as advisory services for enterprises operating in the incubator. Throughout 10 years of its activity it has supported about 200 of units and has made many of them successful on the free market. Currently the Incubator is serving 40 SMEs
